So I've been coming to Rescate for a pretty long time about 2 years. It was my favorite local spot even though their coffee wasn't the best. A lot of times it was too sweet or too syrupy or didnt taste like the flavor it should (especially the honey bear latte). Regardless I thought the atmosphere was good and the people friendly. However, when I decided to go today I was treated very rudely by one of the baristas. I had preordered online about 30 minutes before and received an email that my order was ready. Since there were about 4 people near the cash register, I waited outside until 2 of them had moved out. Since the ladies in front of me hadn't preordered and were trying to decide what they wanted, I was going to ask one of the baristas if my order was ready since I didnt want to wait 10 minutes for them to decide as my order was going to get cold. I literally saw my order sitting there but as I was about to move over and double check with the barista, another barista yelled at me for not waiting in line. I explained that I had preordered and was going to ask the other person if my order was ready when he rudely interrupted and said I still had to wait in line. I didnt understand why I would have to wait to get to the front of the line to even ask but I went to the back anyway. One of the much nicer lady barista asked my name and said that my order was ready and I could pick it up at the table. So finally done going back and forth I was allowed to retrieve my order on the table after a long time waiting. I dont understand how it's hard not to be so rude to your customers and yelling at them to get back in line as if their wasn't a legitimate reason. Overall, I dont want to support somewhere that's fine with humiliating there customers.

i'm not a coffee person and usually i'm hesitant to try tea at coffee shops. i got an earl grey tea latte. unfortunately the tea was not very strong and fragrant. the milk overpowered my drink. the service was good though and there's a decent amount of seating to sit and chat or study or work.

I've been pleasantly surprised every time I go to Rescate. I've had a couple of flavored hot teas and 2 different burritos (a breakfast burrito and a veggie burrito with beans, hummus, etc.). Rescate's food is INCREDIBLY fresh and flavorful - you can really tell the difference between a "freshly made/ make it when you order it/ made the components ourselves" meal vs. a "corporate ordered it/we received it pre-packaged and frozen" meal. I don't know how they get their teas to taste so refreshing with the flavors on point (but take the teabag out pretty soon after you get it, or you'll risk it going bitter on you). The people are also really friendly and genuinely welcoming. Bottom line: I highly recommend this place.

Loved this quaint little place in elk grove! It's only been here since January of 2016. Small but spacious with ample seating. Staff are all very kind. The food and drink options are great! I love mom and pops, and try to visit them often.

I've become hooked on their Vietnamese coffee even though I know they have several other really good drinks. My husband really likes the Monkey Mocha (chocolate & banana) which is available hot, iced or blended(his favorite way 😉). Be sure to check out the cookies, which are thick and chewy and are so good that they go fast. They also have a full display case of assorted sweet and savory pastries. I really love the ham and cheese croissant which is good sized and tastes really fresh. They'll even add fresh cooked eggs if you'd like them.
I won't say the atmosphere is exactly cozy since there are large plate glass windows and lots of natural light, but there is a nice assortment of small and one really large table, as well as two different soft seating groups on opposite sides of the shop. One of these is adjacent to a faux fireplace which is nice now but was REALLY nice during cooler weather. It's a nice place to spend a couple of hours, well worth the drive across town.
It's hiding in a little shopping center on the North side of EG Bl at Harbor Point Dr. If you miss the driveway just past the gas station on the corner, you don't have any choice but to get on the 5 Freeway North and go all the way to Laguna Bl before you get off. If this happens to you, don't panic, just stay toward the right and make a Right turn on Harbor Point ant it will eventually take you back to EG Bl. If you don't want to risk it, you can take EG Bl West, make a Right on Harbor Point (or EG Bl East and turn Left on Harbor Point) and then a Left at the stop sign and then a left into the back of the hotel. When you hit the end, turn left, and when you see the car wash for the gas station, turn right, and the parking will be on your Right. These are all really short distances for the turns so when you see it it will all make sense.
Trust me.... it's all worth it 😊

This is the most adorable little coffee shop I have encountered in the Elk Grove / Sacramento area. It is owned by the mayor of Elk Grove and they give away a percentage of their sales to a charity benefiting young girls who have been the victims of Human Trafficking.
AND the service is delightful, very friendly and I always have a nice little conversation with the cashier (hence my knowledge of the shop. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable about the coffee and various treats that they sell. The inside is pleasant and inviting with comfy padded chairs, communal table (also individual tables for the less social) and free wifi. Great place to sit and work if you are into the whole coffee house thing.
AND the food is great. The coffee is very nice, but the bagels that they sell are literally the best bagels on the face of the planet. They buy their bagels from a local bakery and they are made fresh everyday. The only thing I would have to complain about is that they don't get enough bagels and usually run out by mid-morning.

We love this place. They have great coffee and iced tea. Plenty of pastries and they are all good, but the ham and cheese croissant is the best. The staff is fast and friendly as well.

Overview
I needed to find a coffee joint with available wifi that was NOT Starbucks (nothing against Starbucks, just wanted something different that day).
What I ordered
Myan Mocha, which is Mexican Chocolate and a dash of Habenero.
Pros
Good amount of room, spacious and doesn't feel like I'm rubbing elbows with anyone. A good assortment of varying tables and chairs, inside it feels mellow/quaint. The menu is a delight, lots of seasonal offerings and workers are there for suggestions.
Cons
Not many plugs from what I can see, so you do have to choose your seats somewhat wisely. The drink I had I was satisfied with, but towards the end there seemed to be some remnant powder of some sort on the bottom of the cup.
Tips
1. Don't worry about parking, there is a plenty of space.
2. Small business owned and minded, personable.

It's not a large shop, but they do roast the coffee in-house. Previously known as Grace coffee, they are local in a good way. In summer I like the s'mores frappuccino-esque blended drink, and in winter the mexchoco cherry mocha. Any time of the year the drip coffee is good (or an Americano), and none of their roasts are burnt like SBUX or Peet's, which means more complex flavor and no charcoal taste. Parking is good, and it's easy to get on the freeway, but you may find yourself doing a uturn to get in and out. They offer free wifi and also printing for a fee. Breakfast and snacks are available, but try customizing the meals a bit (for example, add egg to the ham and swiss croissant). I usually give pounds of their beans as a gift, and enjoy them myself at home as well.
