Rescate Coffee

Awesome atmosphere, large selection of pastries (non-vegan) and menu items (vegan options). Tried a simple black americano to get a feel for the espresso quality - served very hot but overall spicy, nutty medium roast. Properly prepared and tasty. Seating and power options limited but still good given the space, there are medium leather chairs for reading and a long table for computer work or group work. Overall a dope, industrial cafe vibe. Slow WiFi, but it’s a little busy at 4PM so it makes sense. Good spot to spend an hour sipping a coffee and working/studying.

Love Rescate so much!! They are the friendliest people, great quality and offer such a wide variety of products. The effort they put into providing the best coffee, tea, etc. really shows. Have been coming here pretty much since they opened and it’s such a treat every time I visit. Also really appreciate that they partner with local Raquel’s Pet Treat Shop, my red nose pup loves the peanut butter dog biscuits! Ladd is the coolest! Thanks you guys!

I loved this place the first time I came here. The second time and on, which has been around 4 times, it has always been a pain. I come to Elk Grove around once a month from SF and every time i come and pass by here to get a box of coffee for employees, but every time the stuff complains about me ordering a box. First time they toll me to call ahead so i called an hr ahead the next time, when i called they told me 15 minutes ahead was enough. Next time I still called an hr ahead, they told me that i have to call 2 hrs ahead, the next time I called 2 hours ahead and no one answered, i called again and no one answered, i called the third time 15 minutes before i got here and still no one answered. When i got here and ordered my box, they told me that i need to call ahead because they are too busy to prepare a box, i told them i called three times and no one answered so they said that i have to call one day ahead! I don’t mind calling ahead but everyone gives me different instructions about it. I think they shouldn’t sale it if they are going to give to their customers such a hard time in front of the rest of the customers when ordering the box.
So embarrassing because i felt i was doing something wrong and i was being told in front of the rest of the customers.

Not the best place to go if you’re in a hurry. Needed a quick caffeine boost and found this place but drinks took some time to come out and weren’t that strong. Pastries were good. Nice patio seating.

I really want to support this place but their drinks are mediocre. I’d rather drink office coffee than the Luke warm oat milk latte I just purchased. The staff is always 18 yr olds and they need a seasoned barista to show them how to make a drink

Best coffee in town!! You get fresh coffee every time. The staff is always friendly and professional. If you want good coffee and service, this is the place! Excellent!!

I appreciate the response... it's not really enough though. You have the opportunity to treat everyone the same, if someone is healthy, there is no reason they need to wear a mask. Follow along with the businesses surrounding yours that are serving everyone and not discriminating. I don't want take out, I want to come in your shop, smile at people, read the menu, enjoy a coffee shop experience.

Rude! I told him it was my first in and started to explain what I get back home. He asked what kind of milk I wanted, like I should know what the options are. Then I started to say they use icecream mix at home and he cuts me off, saing well we use milk here. Then as I'm standing at the register, waiting, he tells me, You're good to go. I look around for my coffee, don't see it, so I ask where my coffee is. He says, with a tone, I have to make it yet. I said you just told me I was good to go. He said, good to go stand at the counter. Welcome to California 😖
