This is a hidden gem! Great service and even better food. I eat there every time I am passing on I-5. Cute place with indoor or outdoor seating (depending on the time of year). My kids and I have been coming here for years in summer, spring & winter. They treat them like 'royalty' and gave them their 1st real taste of excellent, upscale meals! Thanks.

A fine little restaurant with a great cozy atmosphere. Nice staff. Dinner was very fine, short ribs had a rich flavor, mashed potatoes done to perfection, homemade rolls.

Went to Cafe Maddalena's for the first time last Friday night. What a great find! The food was excellent and the staff were incredibly friendly. Will definitely return next time we are in town. The Blood Orange Cheescake was amazing!

A first class restaurant with very good, cheffy food. Was a little disappointed in the heese fritters. Was told it was pate a choux and they turned out to be made with a very heavy, doughy paste.
Service was excellent, however. Dessert, a persimon cake, was also very good.

This is the best restaurant in California, north of Sacramento. The service is impeccable. The food is worthy of a Michelin Star and for the price there is no way I come to Dunsmuir/Mt Shasta without stopping here every time.

Too expensive for us to eat there more than rarely. A pity because the cuisine (creative!) is the best we've found in the county that serves non- & vegetarian dishes.

Wine was nice, the food okay. The bread and blue cheese puffs appetize we're fantastic. The setting was nice and the service was also wonderful.

On a Saturday night in Dunsmuir, other than the pub, this was the only place open for dinner. So my wife and I popped in and were seated promptly. My wife ordered the salmon and I ordered the ling cod ( at least that is what it said on the menu). Salmon portion size was normal, but my "ling cod" was pathetic. Both were a bit over done. As with most of these "french bistro" type place, they assemble stuff with various ingredients. Mine came with a yellow sauce, which I think they claimed was saffron. I did not discern any of that. It came in a bed of rice and some swiss char type of veggie.
I asked for a glass of white wine. I think sov. blanc. It was really chilled and had not body, no bouquet. They said all their white wine is chilled. ( I think they just have one of those Gallo type packs and they serve it under whatever name you ask for ! ! ! anyway that is my suspicion. But they were gracious enough to change it to a red cab for me.
The restaurant has a lot airs and pretensions of french bistro, food is mediocre at best.

The culinary Jewel of Northern California. Every meal is 5-star, prices are reasonable, and the staff are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Bucket list restaurant!

It's a gem of restaurant. Came here after hanging out at Mossbrae falls. The lemon soup with Dungeness crab, lemon rissoto with scallops and the passionfruit lemon tart were amazing! Humble and elegant place. Wonderful service too!
