Philz Coffee

I prefer Philz to Starbucks, Peets, Dutch Bros, and all the other coffee shops in Davis simply because for the same price as those other places, you can get better tasting coffee in a attractive social atmosphere. Coffee shops feel ubiquitous these days, but few shops brew a great cup of joe like Philz. Keep up the good work guys!

Staff looked bored, and they were bored. $9 for two coffees that we're no better than usual. Tables full of people doing homework, nowhere to sit. I did enjoy smell testing coffees, but that was it. Mishkas, Peet's, even Starbucks is preferable in the price/quality equation.

Was here in a hurry (on my way to train station) but the coffee is nice if a bit on the expensive side, and the service is very friendly. Will come again!

Wow! Just spectacular coffee and really kind staff. It can be expensive and a little confusing at first, but the staff guides you through and the end result is some of the best coffee I've ever had.

My fav. They’re not fast but every cup is made with love so sit the hell down and wait for that delicious custom tailored java. Worth it! My two faves are: an iced philtered soul with honey and almond milk. Or, an iced mint mojito with almond milk and honey. (Of course if you’re into milk or sugar it’s there too) and TO DIE FOR avocado toast 🥑 🍞 A little tip - use the app and order ahead for drinks if you’re short on time. They don’t have the food menu on the app yet. This location has super sweet staff. Top notch! Seating is usually overtaken by Davis students so I don’t usually hang out there except outside tables.

This location was too cold when it is so hot outside, it has an industrial feel of an empty giant trendy loft

Friendly staff, vibrant casual environment where you can hang out or just relax. Noise level is higher though as music is always playing so not that kind of coffee shop for quiet studying.

Love this place. Great coffee with cream that hits the spot where you can still taste the bean but enjoy the smoothness cream brings. Love the decor and general layout.
