Philz Coffee

No espresso? How do you call yourself a coffee shop? Barista had no idea what flavor profile of a Colombian bean is and couldn't recommend a comparable blend, which is all that is offered. The Philtered Soul was super bitter, gross.

This Philz is really good, the baristas here are very nice. It can be difficult to find a table sometimes since it’s so busy.

Great vibe. One of the best cafes in downtown Davis. This is California at its finest.

This Philz is different than the one on Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley. This location has a full food counter and a board explaining the different kinds of coffee offered. I particularly like the seating. It is a comfortable place that opens early.

I really enjoyed pulling up my laptop and co-working here with my friends for a couple hours. Can't speak for their whole menu, but I ordered their signature black coffee and it was good. If you're looking for a $5 coffee and a place to relax or work, I would steer over to Philz.

Mobile orders they're pretty on top of. However, for the Cafe, they've lost my order on two occasions consecutively when I've ordered. Just keep checking in and they'll help you, but something to work on. It's $5 so I'm not tripping, yet hoping this is constructive

Have soy vanilla, almond and oat milk alternatives. Pastries, muffins, breads, and breakfast burrito options for quick grab and go. Iced gingersnap has quite a bit of spice and def recommend. Tesoro with creamy option and honey highly recommend! Staff friendly and on top of their coffee game.
