So it happens they are located in a part of town I really am not a fan and I guess that isn't entirely their fault but it is the reason they didn't get the last star.
The food is great, I cleaned my plate. Only had one slight issue with getting the extra gravy I wanted and was told in the future I needed to order a certain way to get it which was a little odd; I had to tell her I come out for breakfast expecting to pay for everything I order, as is the agreement, but I also expect to get what I order and if it's an extra charge just say so and get my blessing if you need it rather than hold off bringing it to me when I've asked for it. I guess you could say that justifies the missing star as well.
It's a cozy atmosphere though and the staff is very nice. The waitress reminded me a lot of my mother. It also seems everybody who was in there with me, at roughly 6am, was a regular and knew one another. They had the occasional shout across the room to engage in one another's conversations - it was a very home-town kind of feel.
I'll certainly eat there again if I'm in the area and wanting breakfast.

Lived Down the street for. about 8 months, finally went in with a friend..and its like a mom & pop place to enjoy home style food lots to choose from. Delicious and two very nice young ladies that work there.
Must try..on and the prices r not so bad either..

Wonderful, cozy little place. Made from scratch "biscuits & gravy", fresh grated potato hash browns, porkchop and eggs, omelettes, pancakes, etc. Beautiful little outdoor patio that is shaded by trees and decorated by a garden. The service is personable and the regular customers are family.

It's a quiet and cozy place with a wait staff who are like neighborhood family. I tried every breakfast place on the block and the Lodge was the only one that struck a chord with me.

Breakfast is always exactly what you want. The eggs are cooked to order perfectly and everything tastes like a Sunday morning having breakfast with the family. I cannot praise this place any higher; it's the breakfast joint of my dreams.

The Lodge has great food and friendly waitresses; family friendly. My favorite is the sourdough sandwich while my husband loves the chicken fried steak and eggs. We highly recommend you go to the Lodge and enjoy a wonderful breakfast.

Where to start??? The people here make the place. They are sweet nice and welcoming. The food is inexpensive, however it is no culinary delight. Lack luster at best. It was edible. I would go back simply based on the price and the nice people. Don't go here looking for culinary perfection.

Maybe it was because it was a holiday all the regular breakfast restaurants where packed. I drove for 30 minutes looking for a breakfast diner. I honestly don't know why this diner doesn't have a line out the door all day.

I thought about not reviewing this establishment and keep quiet about it, but it's honestly too good not to share.

One of a kind.

This is just a regular old neighborhood diner that I love. Nothing fancy. Nice staff that knows my name and favorite orders. The place is small and gets busy, but I don't mind hanging out. It's got that small town charm.

Best homestyle breakfast you will find anywhere in the area. My grandparents used to bring me here whenever they had the opportunity to. The minute we walked in, it instantly felt like home and like I had just been there, although it had been over 20 years. Now that I live in the area again I can't wait to go back.
