The perfect AM spot for travelers! Friendly service, gorgeous baked goods, fresh OJ, coffee, water on tap **and** loads of outdoor tables where you can read or work.
Easy parking + within a block of the beach and pier. Appreciated the warm welcome to Cayucos!
Fantastic quality with perfect crumble! Lemon Scone was perfect accompanied by a double cappuccino- medium roast but tasted like a perfect dark roast and served by the owner, herself! Great Staff: Lauren spelled my name right and made me feel like her new BFF. You can see the waves crashing on the rocks. Well, Done, Bijou! Whomever complained woke up on the wrong side of the bed- worth the price. #QUALITY
We stopped in for breakfast and got a latte and pain bijou. The pastry was warmed but the center was very cold and not as tasty as it could have been. The latte was good and the grounds are beautiful.
We are on day nine of our road trip starting from Texas all the way up to Utah finishing off in Washington and coming back down on the PCH and we found this bakery on the side of the road. This is an absolute must stop!!! No matter where you are going you must stop here and at least get one item. I was so in love after my first bite that I ended up almost buying one of everything. The best French bakery we have hit in any of our road trips. The front of the house folks are so sweet and kind, and love talking to new people. Please stop even if it’s for one thing, it’s so worth it. Highly recommend I wish I could give it a million stars, but five will do for google. Again so good. Thank you for giving us an awesome breakfast!
A must stop if you're driving through! We come here EVERY time we are in the central coast area. They have the best vanilla latte and quiches! My husband is obsessed with their lemon scones with honey butter too.
Love this little bakery!! Great staff great food- love the quiche. ! And such a cute location with great outdoors seating - (only small downside- dogs aren’t allowed on the nice patio)
Best scones on the central coast, if not the entire state. Maybe the entire world. Delicious pastries baked in-house. Wonderful customer service. Beautiful location. A perfect place to stop for coffee and a pastry before a walk on the beach. I also recently made a special order for some canelés and they were to die for. Working with the owner to arrange my order was super easy and so pleasant. Can’t wait to order again. This place is a true gem!
Excellent bakery! We tried many things: regular croissant, almond croissant, vanilla canelé, popover, and morning bun. Canelés in particular are kind of rare to see in bakeries and difficult to execute well. Everything was superb. Also got a latte and cappuccino which were very well made. Large outdoor covered patio was a pleasant spot to eat and take in the crisp central coast air. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Cayucos.
The typical croissant, even in a "fancy" bakery, is pretty miserable, so imagine my surprise at the perfect rendition in this small beach town. The scone was extremely creamy, my spouse loved its fruit flavor. Coffee is quite dark, so maybe get a creamer even if you usually take it black.

Absolutely delicious freshly baked muffins and pastries. You can walk up and get your coffee and take it to go or you can eat it there.
