Food is great, service too. Always choose indoor seating because of bees outside. Been coming to SLO/Avila for 8 years now (2 grads from CP), no resolution to bees?

Stopped here for Mother's Day lunch. The food was great and the service was very friendly and attentive. I had a club sandwich and a cup of clam chowder. The chowder was very creamy and delicious, and the sandwich was tasty with crispy bacon. I would definitely stop here again if I happened to be in town.

Had lunch, very tasty halibut fish & chips. Clam chowder really good. On the expensive side but great views and open air seating. Grilled cod fish tacos not that great. Easy free parking, very friendly staff and attentive. Good cleaning practices. Fun family place. They do not allow dogs in the restaurant.

The clam chowder was great, the cheesecake was awesome, service was good as well and excellent view of the ocean. Aside from the small restrooms and the couple flies around the table, great place to eat.

Food was delicious! Service was great and the weather held up with no rain so it was absolutely beautiful sitting outside. Highly recommended hidden gem.

Fat Cats is my favorite restaurant of all time..I have gone here to eat more times than I can count; I wish I lived close by to have such great food, amazing customer service, and wonderful atmosphere more often. I live out in Arizona but I would come all the way out here in an instant to stay a weekend in Avila and eat at Fat Cats. Fat Cats is a staple of the West Coast and if you're ever even a few hours away it's worth the drive for a good meal and a great time!

A massive amount of food for a decent price. My husband ordered the Denver Omelet, hashbrowns and toast. The price was $14.00. That Omelet must have been made with half a dozen eggs, it was huge! Had to take half of the meal home. You definitely get your fill and then some. Delicious! On a side note, if you are allergic to bee stings, don't sit outside. There are bees, and the restaurant is kind enough to let you know. Highly recommend!
