Excellent coffee, pretty good food, excellent service. Live in Bay Area, have a cabin in Bear Valley and go there about every 1-2 months and stop for coffee every time. Been going there for 10+ years and they have survived the COVID craziness years well.

I wish a better review could have been written but I was there today august 31st 2022 and I'm going to be completely honest I probably won't recommend going here in my opinion. I was looking for something to eat for breakfast, and I wanted a breakfast burrito with no cheese but I was told they couldn't do any modifications. So I asked for something with no cheese and I was given a croissant sandwich which was okay but for 1. It wasn't a seasoned at all 2. The bacon and croissant was burnt. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito he said it was really bland and that it was mainly potato's there was very little egg and bacon and cheese he said it ended up tasting like dirt as if the potatoes aren't cleaned. As someone who worked at a bistro in Sacramento this isn't really considered a bistro to mean more like just a coffee shop..

I went to this cool little authentic coffee shop I tried there milky way frappuccino. Basically blended coffee with heavy chocolate and caramel honestly, it was better than a Starbucks frappuccino. They did have a but of a fly problem but by looking around I saw that they were working on dealing with it. All in all it was great

We ate here twice when visiting Arnold and EVERYTHING we ate was delicious. The Belgian waffle was the best I've ever had, and the chicken fried steak was delicious as well. Their coffee is also phenomenal. The best part is there isn't really a wait even when there are a few people. The staff is also very kind.
