Awesome spot to study and get some work done.

Was surprised at their egg and cheese bagel. Super creamy eggs with melted cheddar on top. Nice quick bite during my time there.

Will definitely be coming back.

I was sad to lose the previous iteration of this corner coffee shop, but this new The Local is amazing! Tasty food options from small bites to meals (and they live up to the name--local foods and bakery partners, with lots of healthful options too, and OMG the almond milk hot chocolate is so yummy), and they have rotating local artists' artwork. The best part is the calendar of events: comedy night (please keep it going!!), talent shows, live music, trivia night, and more. It's a lovely spot among the charming Park St. options.

Great spot for a coffee (or good beer, wine) and bite. The atmosphere is always chill and Otto and Co. keep the place humming. Thank you Otto for taking care of and being so gracious to ALL of the locals no matter their needs.

The name of this coffee shop is appropriate. Owned by local resident Otto Wright, it feels local and genuine. If you like supporting small businesses and want a solid cup of coffee, pastries and sandwiches that will satisfy, come here and be happy.

We've been back several times since they reconfigured for covid. All of their staff consistently wear masks correctly. Their drinks are always good as are the food options.

Great spot for good coffee, solid wifi, and a fantastic matcha latte! A ton of tables and outlets make this place one of the best options to work/study in Alameda.

Been here several times for breakfast since we moved to Alameda 1 year ago. Liked the atmosphere, most of the time we ride our tandem bike to get there, good coffee... Friendly employees.

We really love coming here. The coffee is great and so is the ambiance. There is also great programming that's diverse and healthy for the community. Probably the best coffee shop in the East Bay

Good place to hang out with your friends, they have plenty of free board games. There are options for drinks and food. Cons of this place are little bit loud and no effort in decoration. No matching furniture at all.
