The Edge Coffee Shop

Visited The Edge after learning that it reopened about a week ago. The menu is currently limited as they are still working on setup but they plan to have a pretty robust menu with a lot of different options. I spoke to the staff there and they were very friendly and informative about the plans. I plan to visit in the future as their menu options increase.

Edit: Visited again today, 4/20/2022 and they are still putting a finalized menu together. They have a partial menu that is served daily consisting of sandwiches and burgers and a special item they change daily. Today was the meatloaf with a variety of sides. The meatloaf was good as were the mashed potatoes and green beans.

Home cooked meals, great atmosphere, excellent service and a location that can't be beat. I've sampled many of the dishes and everything has been worthy of a repeat performance! Ya'll come! Say hi for me.

Different specials every day, all home cooked. Just had the juiciest BBQ chicken quarter I’ve ever had. Fall off the bone. I’ve been twice and loved everything, mac and cheese and fried okra are great too.

I will review The Edge again after I have something other than a couple of breakfasts. And I am going for breakfast again this weekend. Essentially, the breakfast choices are basic, I can get eggs pretty much anywhere. The coffee is good, not great just good. At good it is twice as good as almost everyplace else I have been able to get a tasty simple breakfast in Jonesboro.
Since non of us put cream or milk in our coffee I didn't really care that what came out with the sugar was powdered chemicals in foil packets.
I don't get it. I don't mean frappaccinos, I mean buy decent coffee, get a good coffee maker,keep it clean. If you build they will come.
Another great part of the Edge is the really well thoughtout outdoor seating area. Someone just needs to weed the vegetable garden, which in and of itself can attract customers.
If the target market is students and faculty A-State then the lunch dinner menu will need some additions. If there is a different target market, then perhaps a name change would have been a good idea.
I very much want this place to prosper. It is however, not a coffee house. If you were expecting a cleaned up version of the old place let it go. This new and deserves the time and clientele to show us they can be great.

Soul food here we come! If you're looking for a home-cooked meal, you have found the place. Not just coffee and studying anymore. The specials consist of daily items such as fried pork chop, fried chicken, ribs, rib tips, baked chicken, and that's to start. Add two sides of mac & cheese, green beans, cabbage, mashed potatoes, aked beans, stewed potatoes, okra, fries, onion rings with a biscuit, my lunch was like sitting at my grandma's table. Of course, there is the coffee. You can also have a sandwich (club, turkey, ham, roast beef), a cheesesteak, a gyro, or ameatball sub any day. Ask for the spicy sauce. There are burgers and desserts such as peach cobber, banana pudding cake, or just get the butter roll (Yes, it's a real butter roll!). Welcome Back to The Edge. Definitely a reason to return!

I CANNOT recommend this place enough! My boss took me here for lunch this week for Admin Appreciation Day and it was PHENOMENAL! The Apple Pie Burger is a must-try and so are the onion rings - YUM!!

Great burger, ordered 2 patties, with bacon, no bun. Got what I ordered, was delicious!

Pot roast was delicious, very flavorful and easy to shred.
