Kennedy Coffee

Cute environment and decent coffee. Their Chai and house special were both way too sweet. They have nonmilk choices and a few pastry/donuts.

Cool place to visit. Not much parking. Excellent coffees. There are a lot of interesting coffee creations displayed on their menu. I haven't tried them all, but the ones I have tried are pretty amazing. Free WiFi is available, but I wouldn't suggest hanging out here to do any real work from a laptop as there is generally a lot of heavy talking.

Coffee was warm today. Right now I have to put up with this quality for NO coffee shops have dine-in.

I work two doors down from KCRC and have been patron for more than a decade. Over the past two years the employee turn over has been immense and with that there has been a significant decline in the quality of service and drinks. I typically get a latte and I can’t guarantee every time it will have good shots or be hot. What I loved most was walking in and feeling like a friend. Now the chatting is gone and sometimes I’m not even met with a smile. Hoping I’m time this can change!

Always friendly staff. The atmosphere is very accepting. It is homey. You feel like family. You can set with friends and enjoy your favorite coffee selection, be alone in the crowd of you like or make new friends. WiFi is available and the aroma of fresh pastries and coffee fills the air. Great place to visit from out of town or on a regular basis. Prices are very affordable.

In a career where everyone wants to meet for coffee, I was at a huge disadvantage. Before starting my own entrepreneurial adventure (Will Work For Chocolate - an engagement marketing company) I never drank coffee and instead opted for a Smoothie or a Hot Chocolate. But it was never quite the same. Kennedy Coffee changed that when they did what Starbucks and a host of others couldn't - make a coffee that I actually loved. I've tried many, but highly recommend the Mint Mud Mocha (Frosted Mint and Chocolate - think Mint Chocolate Chip shake); whether it's hot or frozen, fill it to the brim with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle and you can't go wrong. In addition to their delicious coffees, their customer service and wait staff is outstanding. When I have ventured outside of my "Mint" with the Velvet Elvis, for example, and it wasn't quite sweet enough, the Kennedy team was always more than happy to accommodate and wouldn't stop until it was absolutely perfect. Now I set meetings at Kennedy on a weekly basis and couldn't be happier. Cheers.

One of the earliest coffee shops on the scene in NWA, Kennedy has been a staple since the early 2000s but recently it's clear they have taken their eye off the ball and they visibly have management issues. It's not the staff or customer-facing employees. The owners/management are/is out-of-touch and it shows. Simple things like cup sleeves, the right yogurt for smoothies, having all advertised flavors of smoothies on hand, routinely out of pretty commonly expected supplies, etc., indicate the owners and management team have other priorities. There are far too many other great options in the immediate area for this strategy to continue and for them to survive.

Update - today I went to store #2 for a latte. They were out of espresso....seriously? Have you ever been to McDonald's and had them say "..we're out of hamburgers.."?

Update Jan 2021 - new management and it's making a noticeable difference, in a positive way. Good to see. They also added a drive-thru.

Great tasting coffee. Very little caffeine, though. Worst was that the hours posted online (Google) on 2/5/2021 and on their doors were not correct. The door said open m-f 6:30am-_____ , but there was an employee inside at 6:30 but the doors were not open. I left to get coffee elsewhere. They probably opened at 7am, but their hours were not as listed.
