Very chilled place, pleasant, great for relaxing or working. Nice staff. Good range of cafe drinks and some quality nosh. Staff is cool and you should be able to find a seat to kick and hear soft, indie vibes, which is EXACTLY what this place is.
Stick it to Corporate America and get your bevy fix here. This kind of people-run place is so organic and just what the doctor ordered.

Coffee has a great flavor, cappuccino was nicely foamy. Felt like the foam could have been better consistency, bubbles were rather large (and yes I get awfully snotty about my cappuccino's so keep that in mind 😂). It wasn't my favorite cappuccino, but I would absolutely go here again for a cappuccino. The cafe is fairly spacious with lots of small tables and a few bigger ones for groups, it seems like it would generally be easy to find a place to sit (besides looking for a perfect cappuccino, knowing I'm going to be able to have a place to sit and read while drinking it is a big deciding factor on where I go). First time at King and I would for sure go back.

Small shop, but easy to find. Parking in the back. Outdoor seating, small & cozy inside, relaxing and really good prices on coffee. I ordered an Iced Caramel Latte, the coffee was good and not too sweet but not very flavorful. Maybe it’s what I ordered, maybe it was too much ice and got diluted not sure but could’ve used just a dab more of flavor or stronger coffee.

Cool College and chill coffee place. Guy who worked there was very nice. I was hoping the espresso and my latte would be a little bit stronger but that might have been my fault for not asking for another shot Maybe. I'm used to A Little Bit Stronger espresso or a different pull from the Machine. But I like the little spot and it's very good for doing homework or having coffee. The only warning is make sure you know the parking situation, there's parking in the back and one spot in the front.

Cold brew was delicious! Super refreshing on a hot day! Our barista was so friendly and definitely brightened up our last day in Phoenix! Really nice atmosphere and great service- would highly recommend.

The place is very clean and well put together with the decor. Although it is very spacious there is not much seating inside or outside. I ordered a coffee and a muffin. I asked for room for cream but the server filled it tithe very top. First issue was that she ignored my request. The second was that the coffee was way too hot that I couldn't sip any to make room. The last issue was that I had to walk carefully to not spill any coffee in the floor or on myself or anybody else as I looked for a lid. The coffe and muffin were good but nothing special. Better option elsewhere but it was not bad.

Perhaps the most comforting of coffee shops I’ve tried. Coffee is neither pretentious nor expensive. The space is small, but never crowded. There are books and games, local artwork hangs from the walls, and the place feels more or less like your living room.
It’s a wonderful place to grab a coffee, whether to drink on the go or to sit awhile with some Thoreau, and just enjoy the day.

Really cool little coffee shop next to a cool bookshop. Perfect for studying or just relaxing. One of the best iced vanilla lattes I’ve had!

King's would have been awesome IF it had a reliable wifi. Good service, chill ambiance, great location.it is a shame that they dont prioritize wifi as much as they should. Seriously, how is your wifi as bad as it is when 90+% of your customers are students who need wifi to do their homeworks?? Everytime i come i have to leave in half an hour..such a shame..

King Coffee has become my go to coffee shop in Tempe and for good reason. It is a close walk from ASU campus, the staff is always friendly, and everything I have had off of the menu has been excellent. They have a good variety of drinks and baked goods. For baked goods, I'd recommend the strudel. They also have plenty of non dairy options (coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk) which is a plus. They seem to use some of the best beans, as I have never had a cup of coffee there that has tasted burnt or too bitter. All of their teas are loose leaf and brewed to order. My favorite is the lavender Earl grey.
