30 minute wait, then when we were sat at a booth, waited another 30 minutes to order, there must've been a confusion of who was supposed to serve us, we did get coffee and water...then we had to wait for our bill. It could have been just an off day for this place, it did take waste a lot of our time, but we are very patient and grateful they eventually served us. The potatoes were delicious 😋 The coffee was also very good 👍🏻

Friendly staff, easy off-street parking. Cared for restrooms. Came for breakfast. We ordered pancakes and added blueberries. They are large, so a short stack was way more then enough and we split the order. There is no split plate charge. Service was fast and they were fluffy and hot when they arrived. The bottomless cup of coffee was very good.
the house speciality is a huge homemade cinnamon roll, which will easily feed three. Way too much for us, but word is that its fabulous. Open until 2pm.

Visited a few times…
Portions well sized and fit the price. Went for water, past experience with coffee reminds me it’s overpriced for low quality beverage.
Star if the show was chicken fried steak patty. Light, tender and crispy. Egg was perfectly cooked as ordered-scrambled soft. Hash browns were so disappointing we couldn’t get past the first couple of bites. Tasted like they had. Even in a warming bin then refried with old oil. Biscuit & gravy…someone has the best biscuit recipe! Light, fluffy and fresh. Next time, I would forget the flour/water paste.

Finally got to try this place and so glad I did! Was driving in from Phx taking my mom back to NM and this type of little diner is exactly her type of place. C☕ffee was very good, Denver omelette was delicious🤤 and my biscuit was fat & fluffy. The home-style potatoes were very tasty & yummy. Staff was super nice and attentive. Just about everything you need is on the table too. Great way to start the day🌞

I have gone through Payson hundreds of times, but never stopped at some of the local restaurants. That changed today when I had breakfast for lunch at the Pinon Cafe. The restaurant was pretty full just before 12pm, but I got a booth. Service was great and the food was tasty. I got french toast, eggs, and sausage and had no complaints. I would eat there again.

I recently visited this cafe while driving to Payson. I was with my wife and two other friends. I ordered the black bean burger and my friends ordered Veggie Omelette and both the dishes were really good. Loved the taste. We also ordered 2 muffins and they were super awesome. If you visiting Payson, definitely stop by here to grab a bite.

The food here was delicious 🤤 We we're stranded in Payson and the environment here was so calming! We highly recommend this restaurant 🙌🏼💯 We'll stop in again when we're in town! I need to get me one of their t-shirts 👕😍😅
THIS IS A DEFINITELY MUST TRY PLACE! 🙌🏼🙏🏻🤤😋🍽️

Although the young lady sat us down right away and took our drink order pretty fast, no one took our order for 25 minutes. Once the young man finally took our order, everything was pretty quick. The burger was delishes.

I always look for where the locals eat in a small town and this is it. Best breakfast in Payson, with a little bit of spice and a little bit of sweet. We had the Elvis French toast with carmalized bananas and peanut butter and the Huevos Benedict. Both were a creative take on some standard dishes that pleased the taste buds. The champion of the day though had to be the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. Growing up in the Midwest I miss my patch of rhubarb and Piñon nailed it with the perfect balance of sweet and sour with a crispy crust. Worth a trip from the valley for just a slice.
