Mary's Cafe

Excellent cafe that brings to mind the old-style roadside cafe. I was dubious when the chicken-fried steak came with brown gravy, but it was quite possibly the best chicken-fried steak I've ever head. The portions were ample and all the food was delicious. It's a can't miss.

Wasn't expecting much from a small cafe on the edge of town.

The menu was great. Bacon wrapped corndogs, 4 different types of flavor toppings for your fresh cut fries.

The only down side was cash only.

Excellent little diner and piece of Americana in Flagstaff. Staff are fun and friendly, food is diverse and tasty (egg tacos below--delicious), and your coffee cup will never go dry.

Let me say one thing first, food is good, the reason I'm giving Mary's cafe 3 stars, is because before they're remodel, this was a great "local dive" bar, I know they had a reason for remodeling and making the place look nicer, but I can't stand having to put up with the downtown bars with college students BS, I enjoyed the rustic old style of bar, it made it feel homey and a place you don't have to worry about offending the "woke" crowd. I just miss Stockmans, but the remodel makes the place look great, food is great comfort food.

Nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the mountain & a very kind young white waitress. The breakfast is very good and it's next to a truck stop. Perfect for Truck Drivers like me.

Definitely a recommend for breakfast. This local spot serves delicious food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately I haven't been super impressed with lunch the couple of times I went there. In my opinion, they just do breakfast a lot better. The servers are always friendly and, even if there's a bunch of cars outside, they have plenty of seating.

We wondered in after a day at the local national parks. Our hostess was friendly and made helpful suggestions. Based on her recommendation, we ordered the Cowboy Club Sandwich. This was a near perfect sandwich featuring brisket and pulled pork. We also ordered the chicken tenders and Cajun style fries. They certainly don't skimp on the portions, so we left happy and full. (And we may have also ordered an enormous cinnamon roll to-go.)

If we're back in the area, we'll definitely stop in and try the breakfast and other BBQ options!

Just like at home. Most people are locals but everyone is friendly and food and service is excellent.

They have the best hasbrowns around. They're actually brown and crispy n not just a pile of mush.

Was decent, home cooked style, not fancy or modern. The waitress was a young beautiful girl working double shifts. The atmosphere was quite outdated.
