I had Kava in Fiji many years ago and have never been able to find a place that serves good kava until now! My husband and I shared the Vanuatu. The mural is gorgeous and reminds me of my time in Fiji 🇫🇯

Such a cozy place to get work done & enjoy the drinks and community. Something about this place makes you feel at home.

AWA Kava doesn't respect Covid-19. Their baristas, obviously anti-vaccine, chatted idly with patrons about how to best forge vaccination records. They spent the other half of the bar conversation taking bets on when the vaccine would be publicly denounced, and whether Pfizer and Moderna would be held responsible. This shop is extremely irresponsible and a danger to the Flagstaff community.

Their espresso was decent, with a good finish. The mocha was definitely made with hershey's syrup or similar, but it was still pretty good. Not so great at 16oz for $5.50, but that's just coffee nowadays 😅

We'd have left immediately, but had to finish homework before getting back on the road. Do ~NOT~ recommend.

The staff includes some of the most genuine people you'll have a chance to meet. Cozy furniture and decor help create a relaxing atmosphere, ideal if you need to decompress. Additionally, Kratom or kava are fantastic if you struggle with chronic pain or anxiety. Im a regular and definitely suggest going if you haven't yet!

The owner was super sweet and welcoming, as I'm new to the city. Couches, local art, and very comfortable atmosphere! Highly recommend

Crazy expensive coffee and pretty sure we didn’t get the large sizes we paid for. I got a large, she got a Double and yet we both had the small size cups when there were bigger ones on the shelf (?). Total was $24 with tip for two (obviously small) specialty coffees. Not worth it. Photo is of their “large” :-/

Outstanding Coffee and Tea Bar. Made us very welcome. They are personable and the coffees because we tried a few were excellent. Highly recommend you stop by and try their coffees or teas. You can sit indoor or outdoor Under The Lights very comfortably. They have games to play. A very inviting establishment anytime we come back to Flagstaff we will always come by here.

Happy to find this nice small city that has normal civilised vibes instead of toxic masc wild west ones.
We really liked this small coffee place too, and we thought that it would have some San Fran standards at least, if not even European, but, unfortunately, we were hugely disappointed again. It s more of a glittering cover than a proper high quality place.
Espressos are this watery, burned, gas station quality thing that they dare to call espresso.
Just being overpriced and nicely wrapped doesn't make you a specialty coffee place.
I have to admit, though, that the ambience was fine and the personnel friendly.

I stumbled upon this place and what a lovely spot to start my morning. Staff is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They were so inviting and explained all about their passion of kava. I wish I was still in town for their open mic Fridays (which they invited me to!). Although I am not a coffee drinker, they had lots of other options and ended up making me the best iced chai I have ever had. I’ll be back there again. Thanks Ryan and the lovely gentleman that made my chai! You’re rad.
