Hoosier Cafe

Food is good and reasonably priced. Tenderloin sandwich was better than some I've had in Indiana. Decor is cool.

Great Hoosier decor. Breakfast was delicious and bacon was thick and smokey; but was missing that little 😕 something.

Hadn't been to Hoosier Cafe in a long time, stopped by to have breakfast with my family, who were arriving from different directions. We were a very small group of five. I have to say, I almost left before being seated due to the abruptness of the seating hostess. Her insistence, to the point of unfriendliness, that we wait until we've all arrived (we arrived separately, about five minutes apart from one another) before we could be seated was a complete turnoff. Not in the seating policy itself but in her attitude and lack of welcoming. If I'm dropping close to a hundred bucks for breakfast, I'd sure like the first person that I meet at the restaurant make it known that he/she is happy we chose their restaurant, not bark at us that we can't be seated until our entire party is present. She was this way with every person that came in after us while we waited. Once seated, our service was exceptional and the food was wonderful. But someone needs to adjust her attitude up front and ask her to be more friendly in her delivery. Not sure we're coming back.

The waiting staff are very attentive even when they are new employees. My wife’s biscuits and gravy dish was delicious and the cinnamon roll meal was amazing!

The coffee was too expensive though ($3) most cafes are lower. Maybe could be clearer that adding onions to your egg is extra charge.

Like the Indiana theme, very spacious.
