Stopped by for lunch after doing a morning tour in Whittier. Luckily, it wasn't a time when one of the big boats arrived, so there wasn't any wait at all. Was able to walk right up, place my order, and grab an open table on the patio. Service was very prompt and friendly.

Ordered a few Alaskan beers, Salmon Filet Burger, and Halibut Fish & Chips. Food was brought out to my table within 10-15 minutes and looked amazing. The Salmon was a nice cut of meat that was grilled to perfection. The Halibut had a nice crispy batter that added crunch, but didn't take away from the taste of the Halibut. The patio tables gave a nice view of the surrounding mountains and water. Perfect place to grab a bite and enjoy the sights and sounds of Whittier.

Eating at the wild catch Cafe was a great experience in such a small and beautiful town in Alaska called Whittier. Getting off the the ferry at the Whittier ferry terminal and having a beautiful sandwich with a great and light salad was enough to keep me satisfied until I made it to the airport by way of the train from the train depot just across the street from the cruise terminal. Whittier is a very small town with one building most of its occupants live in it is a beautiful Town surrounded by Mountains full of tiny waterfalls lush green trees and wilderness and the air was fresh and the temperature was not too cold actually warm for its location.

Excellent location to get food! We got the Halibut Fish and Chips, which were extra fresh and crispy, and the salmon burger, which tasted great! I got to try the Bison burger as well, which was interesting; I didn't like it as much but that's more because of the flavor of bison and less because of their cooking. We brought a big group (30) and they were able to serve all of us pretty quickly! They have indoor seating in the back that let us all stay together. Added bonus, it's right next to the glacier boat tour, so you can leave your car parked in that lot and walk over before/after a tour! Definitely recommend for anyone in Whittier!

Really enjoyed our halibut and chips - so good! but... at $32 per plate Ouch! hence 3 stars! a little overpriced - wait ! a lot overpriced. Portions of food was fair. 3 small pieces of haibut. Order in front and if you want inside dining its in the back. They also offer amazing coffee. Service was friendly. Would I go again - nope.

Cute little place with coffee, drinks and sandwiches. The service was extremely slow but overall good place and the food was good. The staff was nice. They have an outside seating area too. The chocolate chip cookies are absolutely amazing.

Delicious food. Good, kind, hard working service. Excellent views. The restroom was clean. Would eat here again.

You order outside in the main lobby and dine inside In a smaller area. Our breakfast was perfect, the reindeer sausage, eggs and cheese crossiant being one of the highlights.

I got hungry waiting for the tunnel to open up, and decided to give this place a try. It was a cold and rainy day when I stopped in and the bison burger was exactly what I needed! The service was great too, and I got to chat with some of the locals about living in Whittier. The next time that I am in this area I will be back!

The last restaurant open in town (Sep 20th) as the fall season hit. Glad I made this stop. Had the Halibut fish and chips. Excellent!!!! Try the homemade tartar sauce, it is great.

My husband and I stopped by The Wild Catch Cafe during a trip to Alaska in July 2019. We ordered a cup of fresh clam chowder to share as an appetizer and it was the best I've ever had. I ordered the salmon burger which I expected to be a patty of pressed salmon, but it was actually a fresh plank of the best salmon I could imagine. My husband ordered the fresh halibut and it was so great! It had fresh house made tarter sauce that paired perfectly with it. We both loved our meals so much, we halved them with each other so we could each have both!
