Kind of underwhelming after reading the reviews. Waitress wasn't very attentive. It took a while just to get coffee and then she never came back after she asked if I'd like a warm up. I ordered the French toast plate and it was a bit soggy in areas. I'd probably try again, but it wouldn't be a first choice.

The food was very good. You get lots of food too! I got the lentil soup, which was perfectly seasoned, and the salad. All of the ingredients seemed fresh. The atmosphere was nice but it can be a little loud in there. Only thing bad was service was slow. They were still friendly though.

When you entre the restaurant you need to wait, to be placed on a table because they are really really demented. In front of my 1 guy was reserving for 10 people.
Like it! Like it!
Oh my gosh, a really restaurant where you have breakfast all day.
First of all not wifi there but you are there to eat an incredible breakfast rather than been on your phone 😑
Anyway AMAZING experience, the staff are super friendly.
If your in Juneau, Alaska so try it out 😉

We spent five days in Juneau and eat here three times. The service is excellent and the food is awesome. The chicken sandwich is great. I also had the chicken fried steak breakfast and the breakfast burrito and they were both very tasty.

Solid breakfast! Huge portion. Very busy on Saturday and Sunday morning, but we made reservations for 8:30 am and got in as soon as we arrived.

High quality, delicious food. Everything made to order. We had the Denver scramble, hash browns, and a pancake. Portions are quite large, so you can definitely split whatever you order and save a little money. Get there before 8:30am to avoid waiting in line.

I asked the bartender at the Red Dog Saloon, "Where can I get a good breakfast tomorrow?" Without hesitation she said the Sandpiper Cafe.
This place is the absolute perfect example of classic American breakfast. The omelet was so good I couldn't slow myself from eating it real fast. Then breakfast potatoes were something a little different than I've had before, but loved them. The toast was delicious.
I also tried the pancake with ricotta and it was perfect. The French toast looked amazing on other peoples' table. The biscuits and gravy looked amazing. The Benedict was delicious, my friend said. Her latte was also excellent.
We went up on the tram and at the restaurant we stopped for a drink. They asked if we needed a menu and we said we just ate at Sandpiper. The guy was jealous.
Note that their logo has the bird wearing those cool boots everyone has. I wanted to buy a t-shirt, but they didn't have my size.
Just a heads up: the staff shortage also hit here, and we had a bit of a wait for our food. The waitress was super kind and kept us informed and happy. Honestly, I would've waited hours to get their food. It was just one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in my life. I'm thinking about moving to Juneau now.

Thursday breakfast at 9:30 was hopping, and staff struggled to keep up. The setup is to order and pay before you sit down, so if you know what you're ordering ahead of time, that will help you.
The good: we ordered a baked--the daily special with a combo of eggs, vegetables, and potatoes. It was big enough we split it between two of us, and the food quality was top notch. The vibe is interesting--lawmakers discussing politics, tour operators meeting clients, and others going out just because.
The bad: I felt bad for people who came behind us as they waited in line and our food took 18 minutes to arrive. 5 minutes later, we were able to ask for jelly, ketchup, and about the status of our coffee. Our coffee didn't arrive until a few minutes before we were finished. (Reason given was that cups were being sanitized, but there were racks of clean coffee cups in the kitchen.) The promised extra plate never did arrive.
I emphasize with businesses because I know staffing is short everywhere. The staff here was working hard, but didn't appear to be trained to be very efficient with keeping up on customers and handling requests.

Call an hour ahead to reserve a table cuz it is busy most days. They're open Thursday thru Monday. I did a pick up order and it was delicious. Try the French Toast special it's delicious. The staff was very helpful and the food is amazing. Hands down best breakfast in Juneau. They have the awards to prove it.

Awesome breakfast and service was the best. Opens up at 0600 which is perfect for us morning people. Thanks for the wonderful meal!
