They opened in tough times and persevered! They keep upping their game on the menu with something new and delicious on their daily selections. Very friendly prompt service too! Homer is lucky to have them!

Wonderful little place! Had a great breakfast (even made me a customer order of egg whites and avocados) everything was delicious! We were surprised however because one customer left because a few customers *including us* had guns. Staff was awesome. It was clean and cute:) the guy that left totally missed out. Thank you

Most breakfast places in Homer get a relatively late start on their day, even in the summer season, so we are always looking for places that start serving a little earlier. River Cafe does (THANK YOU! Early birds like breakfast too.) This is a semi-self-service place (order at the counter and grab your own complimentary coffee and water), then they bring the food to the table. The service is super fast and friendly. The food was good. We had the biscuits and gravy, which was fine, neither the best nor the worse I've ever eaten. We'll definitely go back again--there were other menu items I'm anxious to try!

Great people, outstanding and interesting food.

Very plain looking little place, but the food is excellent!!! Come here for breakfast for certain, and the lunch and dinner menu looks great. Friendly staff, homey atmosphere.
