K Bay Caffé

For a small town finding great locally roasted coffee is a surprise. This is a local favorite and they serve many great gluten free, vegetarian snack options.

Good coffee, but the food seriously sucks. Sorry, but I have literally never had anything edible here. It's clean and sunny but the same old lurking locals make it a weird place to hang.

Coffee is great and I love all the options for baked goods. Plus if your hanging in the Caffe you can get a regular mug no need for paper cups!

Notice: the K Bay coffee address advertised here is not correct (As of 9/1/15). The correct address is: 378 E Pioneer Ave, Homer, AK 99603. I Yelper posted a correct photo of what I saw when I visited the location. It's the photo with the package of coffee displayed amist the background of a small yellow shack with the white pop-up canopy.
Nice, fun spot, to pick up a fresh bag of roast.... Purchased the Ethiopian and Peruvian blend which smelled fantastic and although I didn't have the opportunity to experience the Peruvian blend (gave it away as a thank you present), I did experience the Ethiopian which was dark, bold with a robust flavor. Brew it strong using a Miletta coffee filter on a slow drip cycle and you should notice a slightly bitter flavor. Using the same Miletta coffee filter and placing it on a fast drip cycle, you'll notice a more smoother flavor absent the bitterness.

We chose K-Bay because they had such great reviews. Our AK-Chai and hot chocolate tasted bad. Very weak. Seems like only half of the chocolate or chai and rest of it just water... We just expected something totally different

Great atmosphere. Comfortable. Full of locals. And the best cup of coffee I've had in Alaska! None of that weak gas station coffee here.

Nice local coffee shop. We had espresso and coffee. Both were great. Clean inside with plenty of places to sit. There is also an outdoor area.

Great coffee and attentive service! We had a large group and they were organized and thoughtful. Will be back for sure.

My favorite coffee shop. The choice of ingredients used makes all the difference in taste, nutrition, and whole health experience, along with quality people to interact with.

Good coffee, good people. What more do you want?
The baked goods are pretty fine also, although prices on food are slightly high.
