Waitress was sweet. Food took forever everything was cooked separately so stuff was cold on the plate. The gave only 1 slice of toast. Who does that ? So disappointing. Just looking for a decent breakfast. Eggs were cooked correctly lol

My wife and I were out exploring the state and happened to find Homestead Cafe on a Google search. I am so glad that I did. The food was great, the service was great and the staff that I spoke to were super friendly. We came in after the Sunday crowd which usually means scraps or dried up food but it was all just really good homestyle comfort food that was delicious.

It was great!!!The food was just how I wanted and the waitress was incredible. I do have a tiny negative, and thats they're card machine was lets juat say frustrating. More for the waitress than me,but hey there is an atm next door @ the store.

If I could give no stars I would, the food is extremely greasy, rude people here, I have seen bugs here and not just flies I mean like I have seen roaches and other kinds as well, way to many flies, it's like none of the silverware are clean, plates or anything it's like they wash their dishes and stuff in their nasty bathrooms that seem like they are never ever cleaned! It took me and the people I was with like 30 minutes to get our food, and then after we got it, it was nasty and cold, and the waitress would keep walking right by us, didn't offer to get us anything to drink or ask us if we need anything, just people are rude as hell here! The manager is highly impolite and very mean and rude. I would not recommend this place to no one. It's an overall very nasty place.

Ate the seafood buffet on Saturday a week ago and it was really pretty darn good. There were many fish & shrimp dishes to choose from as well as crawdads, delicious fruit plates and desserts. Try al few of the scallops before taking seconds as they were over cooked. They were short staffed that day but the lady waiting on everyone was a ball of efficient energy and had a great attitude despite being overworked. She kept our drinks topped off with a smile. They were well focused on customer service & had a charming no frills sort of atmosphere. The water tasted really good and was served with a lemon wedge. Nice! All in all, it was a clean place, plain long tables with classic old style metal-legged chairs, and had tasty food worth traveling a bit to get to it. The price was great at around $15 or $16 for the seafood buffet, as I recall. Also, a short drive away is a great section of Bear Creek for paddling (the lower section), or visit Dismal's Canyon, then head over to the Homestead for some relaxing atmosphere and good food. If I can do some more kayaking out that way I look forward to making Homestead Cafe one of my stops while in the area.
