First I would just like to start off by saying that everyone was super sweet and welcoming and nice. But unfortunately the food was just way too greasy for me. I ordered the western omelette with bacon. I didn't realize that it came with grits and toast. The grits and omelet were served on the same plate and all of the butter from the Grits ran under the Omelette it was just super super greasy. The flavor would have been good if it hadn't been for all the grease now the bacon had a awful taste to it I don't know if it was the way it was smoked or what but I didn't like it. However the toast was wonderful. I did taste the grits even though I'm not a fan of grits but they were very Bland I didn't like them. But like I said everyone was super welcoming and nice I bet some of the other food is wonderful. But as of today on my first visit I can only give it three stars because of the wonderful friendliness and great service.

My wife and I went there for breakfast. We really enjoyed it. Yes, the place might not be fancy or shiny but the food was amazing. So, if you are looking for delicious food we highly recommend this place. If we happen to be in Montgomery again we would definitely visit this place. We will make sure to recommend Davis Cafe to family and friends.

To the staff. Just keep doing what you are doing. Y'all are great.

This is your country cooking meat and three kind of restaurant. You don't go for the view, location, air conditioning, decor or parking. You go cause you're hungry for some comfort food. I've not been here in a while. It's not... or it wasn't as good as I remember it being... (my opinion on this particular day/menu) Prices are high for what I got on my to-go plate. Chicken (breast & leg) was over cooked and crust was too hard to bite. They were out of cornbread. It was too hot to stay and eat there so I got mine to go.

This place is an old favorite. My aunt would take me all the time when I was much younger. We’d sit at the booth and dine in. Nowadays, when I visit I order to go. It still has that old school vibe, which is nice and nostalgic. The best part of this place to me are their cakes and pies! Absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend if you’re into soul food with a touch from the past.

Lots of local folks like this spot. I had gone there several times--each time with more people on my tab. My first visit was just 2 of us. The day that I had 8 family members was my last visit. Some of the women did not like the idea of tables and bathroom being so near to each other. They advertise certain items being on a breakfast order. They were out of grits and refused to discount the cost of them from my tab. To me a place is judged by quality of food, portion in relation to cost, and S E R V I C E to make things right. The best of a manager would have made tab adjustments, and not charge a customer for an item that he or she did not get$$$

Delicious! I didn't have to add anything to it, though customers with a sweet tooth might want to add sugar. I got it with almond milk (they have soy as well) and it's very creamy and smoothI highly recommend Cafe 153 if you're in the Bridge Street area!Right off, my five star review does not include their bagels or croissants or waffles

Several of us went there for lunch. It's a meat and three place. I was a bit suspicious when I saw the menu had no prices indicated. I asked and our waitress told me it depended on which meat was ordered. I got turkey with dressing, yams, lime beans and potato salad since they were out of slices tomatoes (which was surprising because we were almost the first ones in). The turkey was okay but more like turkey/dressing stew than sliced turkey. The potato salad and lime beans were okay but the yams tasted like someone poured a bottle of karo syrup into it before serving. One bite of that was more than enough for me. Three of my coworkers ordered mac and cheese and nobody ate it because it was way too salty. End of story, got charged almost fifteen dollars each for our food. Way too pricey for the quality and choices.

Omg!!

Love this place! The vibe is amazing! Great after a long day of work or just to hang out with some friends. The drinks are awesome and will make you feel relaxed. Doesn't taste the best but the effects outweigh the taste. Wish there was more places like this closer to me! Love it!

Enjoy!
