The Hatter Cafe

We enjoyed our time. We rented the Royal suite. The owners are very pleasant and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We needed to get away from work and town. It was quiet, private and relaxing. We enjoyed the fire pit and were grateful for the logs they provided. Also the jacuzzi relaxed our tired muscles from work. We will definitely be staying again. Their cafe is cute and whimsical with their Alice in wonderland theme. It is very different but like they say don't judge a book by its cover. It could just be a diamond in the rough. The Wald's have a little hidden gem. May GOD bless you guys in all your endeavors! We look forward to seeing you again soon!

The restaurant is charming set in an Alice in Wonderland Theme. No detail was missed! The food was excellent.. The service was poor. We waited a full hour before asking when the food would come out and we’re told by the very young waitress that our food was being made and would be out in “a minute”. Thirty more minutes past and one meal came out. Ten more minutes and the second meal came out. When the owner stopped by the table and asked how everything was we explained that the ambience and food were excellent but waiting an hour and a half for two sandwiches was too long. The owner told us three people called out sick leaving her with 16 and 18 year olds to wait tables and only her husband to do all of the cooking. I scanned the wait staff and only saw one who would be those ages the rest were definitely over 30. Then there is the issue of only her husband cooking. Why didn’t she help him? The only thing we saw her do was pass out crowns and talk to people.

This is a small Alice in Wonderland tea party themed restaurant. It would definitely appeal to women and families with young children, especially daughters. My wife and I stopped there for lunch. The food was excellent. If you like Alice, tea or just great food it is well worth the visit.

We had a great experience at the Hatter Cafe. Roger and his team were very friendly. My wife and I had a one night stay in the Royal room and enjoyed a delicious breakfast the morning after. We will be back.

Very obvious that love was poured into this place...no detail was skipped. We went for breakfast this morning and the place was adorable. Breakfast was fresh, good and reasonably priced. The waitress gave us a tour of the rooms they rent out as well. If you are close by I would make the trip to visit this place. Went with my family and we had French toast, avocado toast, bacon egg and cheese sandwich, grits and hashbrowns and all were super yummy. One of the most unique places I have ever been to and will be back when we come back to town.

My husband and I spent our anniversary here for two nights and absolutely loved it! The host's were very inviting. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this bed n breakfast. The cafe was one of a kind, you dont want to miss out on seeing this amazing place. Thank you!!

An absolute gem!!! The food is amazing!! The staff is amazing!!! The restaurant itself is completely magical..I will gladly drive the 80 miles just to eat there again

This place is amazing!! We ordered the meatloaf pie with collards and the chicken salad sandwich with loaded potato salad. Both were excellent in every way. Cute decor and great tea selection as well. Will be back

We stayed here and it was amazing! The food is great. The rooms were so nice and relaxing. We spent many hours enjoying our hot tub. Definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance. The owners were there to make sure you were comfortable and made the most of your stay. We will be back.
