Highlight of our anniversary weekend. Service was great. Very friendly staff. Food was delicious. Very unique and so much to look at inside. Will be back.

After our visit today, I am not sure how this place had a 4.8 star rating. This place seems to suffer from poor management. We went in for a late breakfast around 10:30. Didn't seem overly busy but we had about a 20 minute wait before being called and seated. Wait for the food was closer to an hour. Service was slow but decent from our waitress. Food was overpriced. I ordered french toast with bacon and my wife ordered waffles and bacon. With coffees, this came out to be well over $30. My French toast was cold and my wife's waffles were cold. No butter or syrup was served with either and had to ask for syrup which was also cold. I had to wait 10-15 minutes at the front to pay. My ticket was passed off to 3 different people and lost in the process before I finally was able to pay. It blows my mind when I have to make an effort to pay at a restaurant. Always makes me wonder if I should put the effort in if Noone wants to take payment. Several couples and families left before getting food due to poor service. Would not recommend at all. Huge disappointment.

Incredible Bed & Breakfast! Great time, great food, great atmosphere, great scenery and most of all Karen and Roger are the greatest of hosts!

Food was great, decor was even better. This is a must visit if you’re in Mentone.

What a wonderful cafe, restaurant and Bnb in Mentone. Really fantastic menu with adorable theme of “Alice in Wonderland” every detail is thought of from the detailed chandeliers to the formal napkin window features.

Roger and Pam have such heart in their place. The menu has southern favorites with a twist - I enjoyed a chicken salad sandwich grilled on raisin bread it was heavenly.

I completely recommend on a visit to Lookout Mountain. Check website for hours of operation.

I loved this place! It was a birthday surprise from my husband and the staff sang happy birthday to me. The food was awesome

The Hatter is an unique place, and my overall experience was positive. What is keeping this from being a 5-star review are the prices for the portion sizes...specifically the brunch breakfast casserole.

While perfectly tasty, it came in a standard ramekin and would have made a nice side item....as opposed to being the main dish. Perhaps if it had come with a side (which the server said it didn't), it would have been sufficient.

The meat loaf pie was very good, and I would recommend it.

I really enjoyed this place. The food was good, my kids loved the Alice in Wonderland theme, and the staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. While it can be argued that the entire Mentone area is a hidden gem, I definitely feel that The Hatter Cafe qualifies as one too. Can't wait to go back and stay at the lovely B&B they have later in the fall!

We stopped on our way out of town and it was SO good! I had the avocado and egg toast and it was awesome. My husband and son loved their dishes as well. They got biscuits & gravy and the herb breakfast casserole. I tried some of theirs and was very pleasantly surprised. I'm already planning my return.

Lovely, charming cafe, wonderfully appointed in homage to Alice. Delightful tea menu (and tea serving!) alongside a nice brunch. Staff was kind and helpful. We had a wonderful time.
