Wow. It's like going into the movie Alice in Wonderland. Perfect place for little girls to have some tea and some really good food. Hidden gem!! Definitely worth every penny!!

A unique and fun experience. We stopped for lunch. The food is all fresh and homemade. Delicious. The environment absolutely unique and fun. I would recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

We stayed in Mentone for the weekend and went to The Hatter Cafe for breakfast. Such a cute and unique experience, and we even got to wear tiaras provided from the restaurant! Our tea was splendid and our food was delicious. Coming back as soon as we can!! πŸ’•

This place is a unique experience, I liked the themed decor and diverse hot tea menu. The portions were delicate and came on cute dishes. The breakfast casserole was herby and delicious. The challah french toast was too eggy for my taste, but still pretty good.

This place is very unique and adorable! So much detail in all the decorations that my 2 yr old got to fully enjoy small trinkets on the table while waiting for the fresh fruits, heart shaped waffles and delicious chocolate milk. My husband and I LOVED the meticulously prepared warm food. My Avocado toast with egg was made as asked. Grits were served as I asked (wanted plain and the waitress asked if I needed anything more after I tasted it). My husband loved the scrambled eggs and praised it along with crispy hash browns. We did not try any teas but coffee was okay. The owner and staff are super friendly and attentive. Great food and experience!!!

We stayed in the Royal. It was very nice. It was our anniversary and everything was decked out in hearts and roses and Alice and Wonderland! Hot tub on the porch and their service was good! I would recommend it for anyone wanting a relaxing get away that is reasonably affordable and in such a beautiful town!

This was our last stop during our Mentone trip, and it was very nice. All of the attention to detail in the decorations and environment really paid off. When we were first seated, there seemed to be a miscommunication about who our server was and we had to wait longer than usual. Once the issue was realized, our server Lauren really made up for the issue and there was no problem after that. She went above and beyond and was very attentive and friendly, and even gave us crowns which really made the experience special for my boyfriend and I. The food was good, especially the hash brown casserole. The tea menu is excellent and having a real teapot and teacups made for a cozy treat. We will come back. :)

Owners, Roger and Pam, are diligent and committed to provide each dining guest a peaceful experience, and this is the reason 𝑷𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒔 highly recommends them to our own retreat guests for a destination dining experience that will become a favorite memory at 𝙇𝙀𝙀𝙠𝙀π™ͺ𝙩 π™ˆπ™€π™ͺπ™£π™©π™–π™žπ™£ π™žπ™£ π˜Όπ™‘π™–π™—π™–π™’π™–.

Each breakfast and lunch entree is very reasonably priced, and from the moment you step inside, you’ll understand why Roger and Pam chose the theme of this whimsical dining destination. When you step inside π“π‘πž π‡πšπππžπ« π‚πšπŸπž, you truly step through the looking glass into a happy place that feels welcoming like Grandma’s house, and a lot like a fairytale land.

So whether you stay in a cottage or treehouse with 𝑷𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒔 or with another great host on the mountain (there are many), be sure to experience the restaurant loved by so many who visit the amazing Lookout Mountain Alabama!

The Hatter is adorable. I walked in and thought it was just so cute. Everything is about "tea time" or "Alice In Wonderland" in their decorations. I didn't mind this at all since that is my favorite story. The food was hard to pick from. I had the BLT Biscuits with a side of Mac and Cheese. I wasn't sure about the spinach on the sandwich but it was yummy. My mother had the Chicken salad on HOMEMADE Raisin Bread. We got our desserts to go. Two and a half hours later she let me know how YUMMY her peach cobbler was. I told her I'd have to ask the sink how my Ooey Gooey Chocolate Cake was (I drop it all in the sink πŸ˜₯. We will be back and enjoy another day there.
Thank you.
