This was my first visit to Rolo's in several years. I went after seeing that they were open for breakfast.
Rolo's is a diner. The food is inexpensive, the service is good, and the meals were served as ordered and generally very good.
I ordered fried eggs with toast and potatoes. The toast and eggs were cooked perfectly. The potatoes were also very good. They appear to be potatoes that were frozen after being cut into small cubes.
The sausage was also very good. There were two pieces of sausage which I had not expected.
My dining companion ordered a biscuit and a scrambled egg. The biscuit was good but tasted as of it had been frozen and warmed up rather than made from scratch as is the case at some breakfast locations. The top was black as it had been burned rather than cooked to a light brown.
Our server was very efficient, friendly, and everything was served quickly.
Overall, this was a good experience.

The burger tasted much better than the picture looks, it was the 7 oz burger with fried okra. The other dish was the chicken and dressing, it also was quite flavorful. There is an electric train that circles above while you dine. It was off at the time but I asked our waitress to turned on and she did, she was fabulous.

Best biscuits I have had in town. Sadly, the quality of the ingredients are not high quality. Some would say it is normal for a diner, but I would encourage to strive for more. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a homely feel.

We had dessert first. Carrot and Mississippi mud cake. Dinner was chicken and dressing (could use more chicken) fried okra, mashed potatoes, and pinto beans. Buttermilk cornbread, not the sweet kind. Very good dinner. Friendly owner and staff! True local restaurant!

I liked this place. Everything was pretty great diner food. We got breakfast and liked it. Cinnamon rolls were really good. Definitely will go back.

Stopped in for lunch, just wanting to try the place. I had convinced myself in my head that it was an order at the counter rather than sit down restaurant, but it's the latter, not the former. Luckily, I don't mind eating alone.
I'd describe Rolo's as a local Cracker Barrel. Lots and lots of generic country cooking dishes are available: meatloaf, chicken and dressing, etc. It's a moderate size restaurant with a fair amount of seating, and it was busy around lunchtime on a Tuesday. Crowd was mostly older folks.
One thing I was really impressed with was the service. The hostess got me seated right away, the cashier was pleasant when I payed my bill, and most of all, my waitress, Anita, was so nice and friendly. She took great care of me, bringing me a to-go drink before I even had to ask for it. Loved her!
The food, however, was just okay. I guess it was about what you'd expect. I had the chicken fingers, fries, and whole kernel corn, with a roll. Sweet tea to drink. The sweet tea was really good. The French fries were okay, fairly crispy but a little under salted and had a sort of weird greasy aftertaste. The chicken tenders were also okay, but again, kinda bland and stringy, not a ton of meat to them. Lastly, the roll was the Sister Schubert variety (which I don't mind at all, but I really needed more than one tiny carton of butter), and the corn was flavorless but for a faint saltiness. Not sweet at all, sadly.
I sound harsh; the food wasn't terrible, and I'd go back to Rolo's if someone I was with wanted to visit. However, my meal was also around 11 bucks, 13 with tip, and I can get much better tenders and fries elsewhere for less -- same with country vegetables. On the whole, just a so-so experience. Big shout-out to Anita, though!

I'm going to steal someone else's description because I feel it accurately describes this place, "It's like a local Cracker Barrel." I like Cracker Barrel. I like Rolo's. Have I ever been blown away by the food at Cracker Barrel? No. Was I blown away by Rolo's? No. That's not to say it wasn't good. It was good and I will probably be back when I get the craving for something southern.

Very good!! I got pot roast this go around, and it was delicious!! I always struggle and go back and forth between roast and chicken and dressing but I think the pot roast is the better of the 2! Always a great atmosphere, very welcoming and homey feeling. Every employee is sweet as can be, especially my daughter!! 🤣😍

Christy and the other staff are friendly and the food is good. Christy excels in so many ways, she always comes and greets us warmly even if she's not our server. Her dedication to making us feel welcome is topped by none other than her talking to my 27 month old daughter (and yes my baby speaks like an adult it's not jabbering). She even goes so far as to turn on the suspended train for her viewing pleasure.
If you want great service and food drop by for a visit to Rolo's! ( it has a cheers vibe where people know you!)

Friendliest place ever. Stephanie, Brandy and Christy are the best. Treated like family. We love Wednesdays because the sweet potato casserole! And fried chicken sandwich is THE BEST
