This has become my go-to coffee shop to grab a cup and get some work done. You can tell this coffee is fresh and the options are varied. Plus, the service is exceptional. Love it all around

Great place to study when its not crowded.
The coffee is better than starbuck but they dont offer fresh brews in pour-over or french press. Drip and espresso only and the espresso leaves a lot to be desired. I'd recommend going somewhere else unless you need a quick cup.

Best coffee in the city, hands down! Delicious coffee with a cozy atmosphere. Perfect place to host a book club, small group, or study group! Wish there were even more locations!

Just ok coffee at best. And the staff didn't speak til I spoke. I won't waste my time returning or anyone i know

noticeably dirty espresso machine, received burnt coffee & got the wrong order twice.

Good decor, I came here for a breakfast sandwich and was told they don’t make sandwiches even though the description says so, please fix your description.

Best coffee I've had in a Very long time. I was reminded of what the true coffee experience is all about. I'd give 10 stars if I could, and another 10 for the exceptional service- thank you Tiere!

My favorite coffee at my favorite place. They fresh roast and grind their coffee beans daily. Buy a pound or two to take with you. And while your there have a cup with their strawberry cake. It's simply divine.

Like a good mullet- a little in the front and a lot in the back.

Outward appearance - 6
It matches the area it’s in with all of the mom and pop shops in the downtown Homewood area. Classy and vintage. Not my cup of tea though. You can be classy, vintage, and well kept. So to me it looks a little let-go.

Atmosphere - 5
Very homey with good lighting for reading during the day or working on your computer at night when you don’t have the natural lighting coming in.
Not a great place to meet up with friends, but a place to get stuff done. Soft mellow music in the café is nice.

Pricing - moderately high.
Coffee is priced well but espresso drinks and fraps are over priced by far. Especially for quality and flavoring.

Barista friendliness - 8
They have been nice and accommodating even while there are enough people to keep them busy. The customer experience did not go down when they got busier.

Cleanliness - 3
From the front door to the back door, everything just needs a good wiping down, scrubbing, or swifter duster.
Behind the bar should always be a sanitary place. A lot of coffee shops have the backside of the bar facing customers so they can interact while they work. This also hides a dirty workspace. Here at O’Henrys the barista has their back to the customers while they work, and leaves the cleanliness and appearance vulnerable. Not a bad thing, but to be well executed - that junk HAS TO BE CLEAN. I got tea today and tried a friend’s espresso drink. Kinda glad I did that today.

Coffee flavor - 4
Drip coffee is good and strong. I am very happy they dose their drip coffee on the heavier side so you can get a good robust flavor for all their drip coffee.
Tea is nice because it is Piper and Leaf Tea but not here to review them. It is good though.
Glad I didn’t get the espresso as my main beverage. The milk of my friends drink was steamed properly but overall underwhelming in flavor of the espresso.

Some of the best coffee in Birmingham, and since they switch up what they're brewing daily, you can always try something new. They're open later than most coffee shops, so you can go get a drink and a snack after dinner and not worry about the closing time, especially on the weekends. Excellent cookies too! Can't say enough great thing about this place!
