This review is only based on the quality of the food I purchased. I am not focused on customer service. For the price point, the doughnuts miss the mark. I am left unimpressed and the only thing memorable about this specific food product is that I would not return for those doughnuts ever. We ordered over $90 worth of doughnuts which included a variety of gourmet selection. I started with the most basic- a simple glazed. It was disappointingly dry. I tossed it out an picked up a raspberry filled one. The filling was tart and sweet as it should be, but again the dough was less than exceptional. I didn’t bother trying the rest. I’m sure some birds are happy enjoying them in a parking lot right now. I do not recommend unless you immediately enjoy in store as staff can refund money while there. Again this is based only on the quality of the doughnuts- Not based on other food options or service at this establishment . I gave 1 star for effort of offering extensive creative flavors. I had 2 hungry children with me. A 16 year old and a 8 year old, and like most children love sweets. The hungry kids didn’t even finish the other halves of their doughnuts. The rest of our party was also dissatisfied.

Nice little doughnut shop, overpriced, got a breakfast sandwich and kolache for a hefty total of $20! Kolache wasn't very good, breakfast sandwich was okay. Four stars are for atmosphere and friendless.

Why haven’t you eaten here yet?! Doughnuts are amazing and the Hero Burger is probably my favorite in Birmingham. Some of my faves are the classic, Nutella, pistachio and raspberry filled. Fillings are homemade. The homemade pickles and sauce on the burger are so good! Staff is friendly too and they always remember the regulars. Just a heads up, customers order at the counter and then find seating.

Donuts are great, Parker house rolls, and breakfast like this.

SLOWEST doughnut shop ever!
We were in town this morning visiting on our way to FL, and wanted to treat our kids to doughnuts for breakfast. This place has great reviews, but now that we've been, I'm not sure why! Somehow, the organization of this place is lost! With the exception of custom doughnuts made to order, I've never had to WAIT to get my doughnuts. This place took 15 mins to get our 8 doughnut order in our hands. That's crazy! And, I hate to say it, but WHERE is the flavor in these doughnuts?? The crumb is nice and soft, but the flavors are lacking. It was an hour long doughnut adventure that just wasn't worth it.

I am currently on vacation with my family and we were craving some donuts so we decided to stop here- best decision ever. The staff was so friendly and the donuts were amazing! If you are on vacation and looking for a good breakfast place you should definitely check it out. They have so much seating and they even have seating outside as well!!!

Went here several times in the past. Donuts are good. Burgers were always good before too—probably some of the best burgers I’ve had. However, quality has gone way, way down. The past two visits I ordered the chicken burger and the regular burger. The chicken was burnt and not very enjoyable. The regular burger was inedible and had a very foul, gross odor. I took a chance and took one bite, regrettably swallowed, and immediately threw the rest of the burger away. Go for the donuts, eat the burgers if you want something that tastes like it was left out for too long. Will not be returning.

Update: after 10 minutes I threw up. There's something seriously wrong with their food safety and handling because whatever I just ate made me sick for the first time in close to two years. Changing my two stars to one star.

Neat local donut shop. Great selection of donuts. Coffee was hot and fresh. Dine in or take away. Limited parking in front and plenty on street around the building. Take away window so no need to go inside. Nice small public park with children's playground across the street. Park was clean and tidy. Small stream on one side. Walk the park or sit and enjoy your tasty treats. The experience is best when shared with a friend.

Great burger! H&F imo is the best burger in ATL. Hero’s was surprisingly good. And its budget friendly, $8.50 for a double. They were out of most doughnuts by the time I got there, but will definitely be back and looking forward to satisfying my sweet tooth!

Whole experience was fantastic, the atmosphere was incredible! The food was absolutely delicious ! Hero's breakfast plate is a must try, along with Wil's donut 🍩
