I stopped in for the first time this morning, and was barely greeted by the young man behind the counter. With neither a smile nor the slightest bit of friendliness he asked me what my order was. I gave him my order, which was a caramel Frappuccino and a hot chocolate. When he handed me the Frappuccino, it did not have whipped cream on it. I have been buying caramel Frappuccino‘s for 10 years from different states and many different coffee, places, and never once have they handed it to me without the whipped cream on it. When I told him I wanted it added he told me that would be $.60 extra. I had already paid for my order with a credit card and had no change or cash on me. He would not take a credit card for $.60 which I understand. But when I told him that I had no cash on me and could he just add the whipped cream he looked me right in the eye and blandly said no. Now he had already made the Frappuccino and he knew I didn’t have cash on me but refused to add what should have been there in the first place. This sullen person did absolutely nothing to build customer satisfaction or customer goodwill. So after already paying $8 For a medium frap and a small hot chocolate I had to go back out to my car find a one dollar bill and take it back in there. I found the whole experience to be unpleasant and unprofessional. You can be sure I will not be back. Edit to respond to owners response to my review... Now if you had apologized and admitted that the person you have out front, working with customers, didn't make my drink properly and then proceeded to be rude and wrongfully charge me extra for what should have been there in the first place without making excuses I may well have come back into your coffee shop. But you didn't. He didn't do the right thing and when given a chance to do so, neither did you. There is a lesson here about doing the right thing, treating your customers fairly and with respect and about building customer loyalty, not tearing it down. I have been reading many similar complaints about your store in the reviews. It might be time for you to heed the lesson.
We were traveling through and were excited to try a local coffee shop, but were very disappointed. The guy working was extremely rude!! He didn’t answer questions about the menu, got our drinks wrong , and didn’t even respond when my son thanked him. It doesn’t matter how good your coffee is, if the staff is not welcoming and kind!!
I would leave no stars if I could. We walked in, excited to try a new local coffee shop as we passed through this town. We weren't greeted and the man behind the register stared at us awkwardly as we looked around for a menu. It felt like we were taking too long to decide because he said "So can I help you?" rudely. I asked for cold brew and he replied "Don't have it." I asked for something else and requested almond milk, which was on the menu, to which he also replied "Don't have it." He acted annoyed at my sister and I, although I'm not sure why. I apologized and said I was sorry but wouldn't be able to order because dairy makes me very sick. But I'm not sure why I'm the one who apologized- he had no customer service skills/bedside manner. Will not be trying this spot again during future road trips.
Date 29 January 2021 Saturday. Saw this this coffe shop and thought to try it out. Came in, not greeted, got a look of bothered. When ordering coffee had another look of, do you know what you want look. Employee did not know warm temperature was so I asked for a small cup of ice and then another look of bothering again. Coffe was decent. Not to sweet or bitter. Nice coffee, smooth taste real good. Service on the other hand, was not very happy to have customers come in. I would have given this a 3 or 4 star but the Employee just made it to where you felt unwelcome. Also music might be a good idea.
While my coffee was great, I was disappointed when I left. I went in with my daughter (almost 2 years old) for some coffee as we drove through town, and as we waited, she went to a display and looked at a beanie baby and a monkey they had sitting out. Within 30 seconds of looking at them, the employee stopped making our coffee to come move them to a higher spot (without speaking to us) so she could no longer touch them. I found it to be very rude as it made us feel less than welcome, and to my knowledge, there weren’t any signs posted to not touch anything. I don’t plan to return here.
Exceptional Washington -State-roasted coffee, expertly made in an open, contemporary, and CLEAN store on Fifth Avenue. Very friendly owner who regales the town history along with her story and vision. As a coffee-lover, I am excited to recommend The Crafty Bean to those north-bound travelers to beautiful Lake Jackson and beyond!

I got a vanilla latte. It was soon smooth. Better than starbucks. Not much of a menu though. And not much seating at all.
