The best Club sandwich in town!! Service is also absolutely the best every time I've eaten here over the years. So glad this place is still in Decatur!

It was a very nice cafe. Very relaxing space. I ate a chicken plate. The taste of chicken salad is basic and I like it very much. Banana bread sand is also good. I also like Strawberry Pretzel Salad the first time ever. People in the shop are also very warm atmosphere. I would like to try other sandwiches again. The variety of drinks is also very abundant.

Haven't been here in a while and I wanted a sandwich, something local. The shop is clean and the owners are friendly. I ordered the Club on white, toasted, and it was great. Everything was fresh and its LARGE and double stacked, and chips too. Glad I stopped by and I'll return soon.

This cafe had a very sketchy environment. Communication between employees was unprofessional and we were even offered an open, dubious container of Oreos. There was also lots of confusion amongst employees about whether the store was open or not, and the signs were very unclear. After 20 minutes, despite no one being there but us, we got our drinks which tasted ok.

Inexcusable customer service and not clean. The older man that works there was extremely rude and also rude to the employee working there. I am assuming they're family. Money was dealt and food was touched without gloves. He swept the floor and then continued to make food as well without gloves. I ended up getting my money back. The order he was making was a call in order I assume because he had not started my order. Very very rude man and I feel sorry for the lady working with him. I'm sure this is a good place, but this being my first experience, was not okay. Especially considering this was right when they opened and the cafe should be clean for the start of the day.

Westside Cafe is one of Decatur's hidden gems and well worth a visit. Unassuming and non-pretentious, both the ambiance and the owners welcome. The food? A wonderfully eclectic menu with lots of hidden surprises. Homemade ice cream is a standout.

I came by there & the sign says "Permanently Closed" & that was disappointing & looking forward to try it out.

These folks have been at their location at last 10 years. It's a three person run cafe. Fantastic strawberry pretzel salad. All of the entries I've tried are excellent too. Neat little place to stop for lunch! Very quaint too.

Tried an Americano today during my first visit here and it was good. They have a "Spiced Americano" which I didn't try, buy it has two tablespoons of their homemade syrup with spices. Their espresso is made with a moka pot which is what I use at home and is in my opinion probably the best coffee/espresso piece of equipment for home use as well as for small places like this that normally only offer drip coffee. Their regular coffee is made using the pour over method, which is also better than drip coffee in my opinion.
