We were delightfully surprised by the quality and charm of Sugar Kettle Cafe. Our breakfasts were delicious. They had organic grape juice for our toddler (mama loved that) and country fried steak (daddy loved that!). The white pepper gravy was the best we've ever tasted. The biscuits were a bit overcooked, but you couldn't tell when you put the delicious strawberry and blackberry jams on them. Overall, we will certainly be back and have already recommended it to family members.

Loved it. This was my first time eating here. I am in Daphne visiting my best
friend. When I asked her if they have e me what e me we call " A meat and 3 " in Tuscaloosa she said she knew just the place. At Sugar Kettle I got the vegetable plate and had tomato pie for the first time. It was delicious. The service was great. I will definitely be coming back.

I was very disappointed as was my friend. We were rushed. The menu for breakfast is kind if limited. Our server was nice but she was impatient. Kate ordered a mimosa, and the server said 2 mimosas and brought back 2. I told her I didn't want one but she ignored me, I didn't make a big deal about it but I but thought she would atleast take it off check check which she didn't. The mimosas weren't even good. The French toast I ordered was good, but the cheese grits were runny and no flavor. The reviews for the most part were good, so I expected more I guess. Very disappointed.

Loved the chicken and waffles! They were delicious. The person I was with ordered the fried chicken, 2 of the 3 pieces were very good, but the breast had a weird texture and flavor. Was little disappointed in this and the only reason for 4 stars. The prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere feels like a “home”, and service was fast and friendly. Would recommend trying it out!

Sunday we came in for brunch there menus are laid out strange so it was hard to understand what they were serving at the time. The food was ok, the bottom of our fresh toast was mushy, like it wasn’t cooked all the way. Service was ok, definitely felt like our waitress didn’t want us to be there..

This is a comfort food place. Down home cooking. It is a brakfast and lunch place. The waitresses we very attentive and nice. We got there towards the end of the open time and there was no attitude. Make sure to enter the first entryway as it is a one way in - out .

Fantastic southern comfort food at its best! On a visit to the region I went to the Sugar Kettle and fell in love. The food is amazing, the service kind, and the atmosphere quiet and cozy. A wonderful place I'll never miss a chance to visit!

Precious little restaurant that made me feel like I was at Grandma's again! Delicious southern menu - especially the chicken and waffles!! ;) Our server was extremely prompt and polite. We will DEFINITELY be back!!

Based on the other reviews, this may be a good place for lunch, put please save yourself from a disappointing breakfast! We had a party of four, and not one of us was at all happy with our dishes. Chicken fried steak was a very small, tasteless, and obviously a frozen product. Biscuits were not scratch made either. To top it all off, we waited almost an hour to get served! Just awful! I will leave with this positive... Homemade jam was enjoyed along with the Leroy Hill Coffee.

GREAT food!!! Laid back atmosphere. Good prices. Just a nice experience in old Bay Minette.
